Limits

QELLVIS enforces structural and operational limits to ensure deterministic engine execution, stable performance and predictable system behavior.

STRUCTURAL LIMITS

These limits apply to all systems processed by the QELLVIS Engine.

  • • Maximum nodes: 2,000
  • • Maximum dependencies: 8,000
  • • Maximum payload size: 250 KB
  • • Maximum dependency depth: unrestricted, but deep chains increase pressure
EXECUTION LIMITS

Execution limits ensure stable multi‑step simulations.

  • • Maximum ticks per request: 50
  • • Maximum snapshots returned: 50
  • • Tick mode requires valid initial structure
CONNECT LIMITS

QELLVIS Connect enforces plan‑based limits on the number of connected systems.

  • • free → 1 system
  • • plus → 3 systems
  • • premium → 999 systems
  • • enterprise → 999 systems
API RATE LIMITS

QELLVIS applies soft rate limits to protect engine stability. These limits are not strict caps but may throttle excessive usage.

  • • analyze requests: optimized for frequent usage
  • • tick / ticks: heavier operations, may be throttled
  • • Connect: limited by plan and external API performance
ERROR CONDITIONS

Exceeding limits results in deterministic error responses.

  • • 400 — invalid structure or missing fields
  • • 413 — payload too large
  • • 429 — excessive requests or tick count too high
  • • 500 — internal engine error
